With a little help from our friends

June 24, 2013
Our sincere thanks and gratitude go out to both the Winchester Association of National Trust Members and the North Hampshire Centre supporter groups.
Through their dedicated fund raising and generous donations they have helped us purchase vital machinery for the maintenance of the garden estate. Additionally their support has made possible the creation of a fabulous sculpture in the form of a dragon which ties in closely with our exhibition theme centred around the Vyne’s Roman Ring located within the house. Needless to say this creature has captured the imagination of many of our younger visitors over the past few weeks as it sits guard at the entrance to our grounds.
If you would like to discover more about the great work these supporter groups do and perhaps  get involved yourself,  meet like minded people and make some new friends. Just click the link below and you’ll find a wealth of information via the National Trust Supporter Groups web site.
Our watchful dragon

Our ever watchful dragon, a hit with children as they arrive at the entrance to our gardens.
